An international client of ours is seeking to recruit a Payroll Advisor/Assistant who will support the Payroll Team with the processing of two monthly payrolls covering c2,400 employees.

Main duties will involve:

 Inputting, checking, reconciling and correcting payroll data using SAP HR database,
    and Time and Attendance systems.
 Processing monthly Starters, Leavers and manual payments.
 Updating Payroll records with monthly changes to terms and conditions.
 Administration of  sickness records on a monthly basis.
 Updating employee Tax code data, process Deduction of Earnings schedules and
    respond to Third Party references within a timely basis.
 Month end payroll reporting and ad hoc duties.
 Payroll Journals and Reconciliations.
 Action yearly P11Ds and benefits calculations.
 Assisting with employee/departmental Payroll queries where necessary.
 Assisting backline payroll functions and liaise with technical support to resolve system
    change requirements for SAP.
 Assisting with monthly BACS run and liaise with external BACS agent where required.
 Support the Tax Year end process and P60 documents.
 Monthly RTI submissions.
 Ensure Third Party and statutory payments are processed within their respective time
 Deputise in the absence of the Payroll Manager.
 Liaising with HMRC, Pension Provider, Solicitors, Share Scheme Administrators, and
    other Third parties.

Key Skills required: 

 Up to date knowledge of Tax, National Insurance, Statutory Payments and Payroll            Legislation.
 Good Excel spreadsheet skills.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Track record of working both autonomously and as part of a small team.
 Operates with strict confidentiality.

Key Requirements

• Experience using SAP desirable
• Payroll qualification CIPP or working towards it essential.
• Experience working in a similar role in a multi site company desirable..
