An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Finance and Administration to be based in Frankfurt, Germany. This position will require the successful candidate to be hands on as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to work at a strategic level but able to manage German GAAP and statutory requirements. Supply chain management is also needed. 

Applicants must hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and must be fluent in both English and German. 

Key elements include:

• Compliance with IFRS and local GAAP (Germany)
• Controlling / Reporting / Prepare and submit annual Budget, monthly forecasts, actuals figures reports according to FP&A guidelines; compare actual versus budget and forecast figures, justify the differences and propose correction measures, if applicable.
• External and Internal Audit
• Treasury & Credit Collection / Review and approve payments to suppliers, employees and tax authorities
• Taxes, Social Security and other legal fees / Revise all taxes and assure payments.
• Procurement
• Logistics / Manage relations with logistic services suppliers
• Costumer Service / Supervise that quick and efficient response to all costumers’ requests and complaints; Survey costumer’s management and level of receivables.
• Payroll / Ensure correct and punctual payment at all times. Coordinate with HR and with external payroll company.
• Support all departments and business units/ Support and work with all company departments and business units covering finance and administrative tasks.


Key Requirements for the position:

- Pharmaceutical experience.
- Proven leadership
- Attention to detail.
- Participative management style, good at driving teamwork and collaboration.

Strong range of finance skills specifically:

(a) Good understanding of German GAAP and the fiscal filing responsibilities for a German company.
(b) Supply chain management experience.
(c) Financial commercial scenario analysis.
(d) Budgeting and forecasting
(e) Experience of managing payroll and customer service in country desirable.
