My client based in Lichfield is looking for a banking administrator on a temporary, on-going basis to support the finance team.

Key accountabilities include but not limited to:

 To respond to delegated customer/supplier requests relating to banking activities in a timely and accurate manner.
 Complete the backlog of scanning, keeping up to date with daily scanning within the team.
 Processing the backlog of disbursement cheques onto the system.
 Responding and investigating chargeback queries from their banking supplier
 Supporting with processing the backlog of vouchers.
 Providing an account of workload progress by involvement in continuous improvement team meetings.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

 Responding to “request for information” letters sent to the business daily from the business' banking supplier in regard to customer disputing transactions that have been debited to their accounts.
 Processing cheques and disbursement cheques in accordance with business procedures.
 Input bank statement movements onto spreadsheet, reconcile and allocate account code and load into accounting software
 Administer banking stationery for branches including control and issue business cheque books to other branches of the business.
 Record and bank cash / cheques from business customers received into the Shared Service Centre. Record and import into accounting software, including recording cancelled cheques.
 Scan all paperwork into the business' document imaging system,
 Deal with customer enquiries as delegated.
 To undertake any other ad hoc duties or projects within the Shared Service Centre
 Ensuring backlogs are maintained within agreed KPI’s/SLA’s

The ideal candidate must have GCSE grades A-C in maths and English,
 Excellent analytical, communication and IT skills
 Evidence of delivering or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a financial or banking environment
 Able to organise and plan time.
 Experience of administration tasks.
