I am recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for a client in West Byfleet. In this role you will be responsible for the Purchase Ledger function, Credit Control, Sales Ledger and bank reconciliation, whilst working closely with the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the financial function.

Duties and responsibilities of this role include:
• Bank reconciliation
• Posting and processing purchase invoices, credit notes, cash and allocation of payments
• Reconciling purchase orders with supplier invoices
• Dealing with enquiries and requests both externally and internally
• Processing sales and invoicing drafts from departments and preparing sales invoices
• General Ledger Maintenance
• Credit control – maximising cash collected and minimising bad debt on the phone and via e-mail. Prioritise ledger debt.

Candidate Specification:
• Previous experience of credit control, bank reconciliation, sales ledger and purchase ledger
• Excellent IT and communication skills
• An eagerness to develop new skills
• The ability to work independently and prioritise a heavy workload
